"A man isn't truly free enough to fly" watercolor and gouache on 140 lb paper 11" x 15". After reading Mehran's poem, I got inspired to paint this artwork. This is the original painting I used for my book "My sad is sadder than yours" to illustrate this poem : Fluttering butterfly on a sunny day a blue fluttering butterfly decided to spend time with humans to get to know them better as she was dancing and flowing in the air from house to house she could hear different stories good ones and bad ones but in all of them humans would love to be free they wished they could fly while they had been chained to their made boundaries so she understood why humans didn't have wings she understood a human isn't truly free enough to fly.
