'Back to Basics - Tape Serie 1' is the continuity of the Back to Basics serie representing iconic retro devices from the 80s, carefully handcrafted out of paper. Back in the time, each tape was a very personal treasure containing our favorite songs. The relationship with the object was like a kind of 'fetish' where each tape had its own spirit, shape and design. The sculpture plays with the feeling of nostalgia that yet stays actual. The obsolescence of the object questions the race to technologic evolution against the survival of iconic classics in the everlasting cycle of trends. The artwork is protected in a wooden frame (27 x 21 x 4 cm).
