Yvon van der Weide

Yvon van der Weide is a sculptor based in Amersfoort who works primarily in stone and wood, alongside other materials including bronze, epoxy, and chrome. She studied at The Sculptor School in Amsterdam and has participated in various exhibitions, as well as undertaking commissioned work.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, her practice shifted toward a new series of sculptures exploring the theme of resilience. These works were created as a means of maintaining positivity and strength during that uncertain period.
