About Yves Cogge
Kruisem, Belgium
I was born in Bruges and grew up in Ostend, Belgium. At a young age, I already tried to draw comic stories. Around the age of 20, after much self-study in drawing and painting, I participated in the European Prize for Painting in Ostend.
The European Prize for Painting was an international competition for painting that took place between 1976 and 2000.
Eventually, I followed a course at St-Lukas in Brussels (now Luka School of Arts) where I studied applied graphics.
After that, I worked for years as a graphic designer but continued to draw and paint (pastel, oil, watercolor)
A while ago, I discovered digital drawing and painting, and I plan to present some works here soon.
