Wilhelmus Pauw

My name is William Pauw, born and raised in the Netherlands and currently residing in Spain. Under the name Kobadoba, I design and create handmade wooden wall decorations, with a strong focus on layered mandalas, natural forms, modern patterns, and expressive wall art. My work arises from a combination of creativity, craftsmanship, and patience. Each design begins with carefully sketching patterns and shapes. This process can sometimes take hundreds of hours before the design is ready to be cut. After that, the different layers of wood are precisely cut, hand-finished, colored, and built up layer by layer. Through this method, depth, shadow, and a strong 3D effect are created. I am largely self-taught and have developed my techniques over the years by experimenting a lot with wood, shape, color, and layering. I draw my inspiration from mandalas, natural forms, geometric patterns, interior design, and the warm atmosphere of boho and natural living styles. With my artworks, I want to give interiors more warmth, character, and personality. Each piece is made with care and passion, making no artwork feel like mass production. For me, wall decoration is more than just an object on the wall; it is a way to add atmosphere, calm, and identity to a space. My works are now in various private collections with clients both domestically and internationally. Through Kobadoba, I sell my handmade wooden artworks to people looking for unique, artisanal, and decorative art for their home, office, therapy space, or other special interior places. Although my artistic development continues, my goal remains the same: to create unique wooden wall art where craftsmanship, depth, natural materials, and love for detail come together.
