About Teona Paichadze
Teona Paichadze was inspired by her father, Georgian writer Soso Paichadze, and his community. Her first solo exhibition in 2015 was dedicated to the anniversary edition of her father's book.
Paichadze studied at the Apolon Kutateladze Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts from 1990 to 1997, in the Faculty of Easel Graphics. Since 2015, she has held ten solo exhibitions and participated in fourteen group exhibitions, including international shows.
In her work, Paichadze uses polygraph materials and techniques, creating black-and-white polyethylene graphic compositions, mixed media series on metal plates, and photographic and cinematic "shots" and "illustrations" that synthesize photography and film.
