About Sofiya Akimova
Sofiya Akimova was born on November 29, 1988. In 2011 she graduated from Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts, where she studied art criticism, painting, and drawing.
From 2011 to 2015, Akimova created projects for residential and public interiors. In 2013 she worked as a teacher of art history at the International Academy of Business and Management. Since 2015, painting has been her primary focus.
Her work depicts modern women, exploring the corporeal self and the emotional qualities of her subjects through figurative imagery.
