About Simone Urbanietz-Preiss
Reutlingen, Germany
"The most beautiful thing about art is making people happy, giving them courage to follow their dreams and believe in themselves."I'm Simone, born in 1985, married, and living in Reutlingen at the foot of the Swabian Alps with my two Bernese Mountain Dogs. I'm a true autodidact; I've never attended art school or taken any formal courses. My art thrives on the courage to experiment with different things.
"I never intended to do anything with art or use it as a means of expression. In school, art was a subject where I struggled to draw anything recognizable. But in 2017, my husband suggested I express my emotions on a canvas, and that's how I found my own unique style."Before my father's death, my perfectionism and job had already pushed me to my limits. Stress and grief led to anxiety. Something had to change—I wanted to encourage people to take more time for themselves and pursue their dreams, no matter how unreachable they might seem.
My art is like a Post-it note for you, reminding you that you can achieve anything. I developed my style using leftover wedding decorations, combining vibrant colors with gold and textures. For me, gold symbolizes wealth and spiritual growth, inspiring us to reach our full potential.
Over the past three years, I've sold and shipped more than 200 artworks. My story has been featured in various German women's magazines, including "tina," "Bella," and "Frau von Heute.""The path to happiness isn't straightforward. It often emerges from a lot of mental chaos. The art lies in discovering what truly makes you happy. For me, color is an essential part of my journey to happiness."I'm incredibly proud that my art combines personal growth with luxurious interior design. It encourages people to embrace their uniqueness and live boldly, glittering or quietly, as they are.
My motto: "Be bold and fearless! Be who you really want to be!"
