About Simona Jachimecová
Trebišov, Slovakia
I am a self-taught artist hailing from Slovakia, with the privilege of experiencing diverse cultures through my residencies in Dubai and my current home in Antalya, Turkey. In my artistic practice, I rely on the harmonious interplay between intuition and a deep connection to the wellspring of inspiration.
Each painting I create becomes a layered tapestry, weaving together a rich history and captivating stories. Drawing influence from esteemed artists such as Lee Krasner, Joan Mitchell, Willem de Kooning, Vincent van Gogh, and Claude Monet, I have developed a distinctive style that relies solely on the use of my hands and fingers. This tactile approach enables me to establish an intimate connection with my artwork, resulting in a profound and personal expression.
By selecting vibrant colors and embracing contrasting hues, I strive to convey and communicate my emotions in sync with the ever-changing complexion of the natural world. My expressionist paintings capture the essence of the landscape, evoking emotional immediacy while preserving the meditative freedom and vastness of nature.
In addition to my artistic techniques, I infuse my paintings with a sense of spiritual harmony. Through my work, I extend an invitation to viewers, encouraging them to celebrate the wonders and joys found within our universe. Each piece carries the intention of fostering a deep appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us, and serves as a reminder to embrace the interconnectedness of all things.
