Shaun Herron

Shaun Herron primarily exhibits impressionist landscape paintings in Amsterdam galleries, while working across a wide range of other media. His practice includes surrealistic and abstract oil paintings, hand-drawn book projects, illustration, and decorative art collaborations. From 1995 to 2015, he designed and collaborated on Mental Peace, a T-shirt label that toured European festivals for twenty years. In recent years, his focus has expanded to include portraits, surreal pencil figure drawings, nudes, and mythological themes, alongside commissioned landscapes with abstract elements. Over the past twelve years, much of his time has been devoted to illustrated book projects, some of which remain in development.

Raised in Cape Town, Herron has been a resident of Amsterdam for nearly three decades. His exhibition history includes shows at Galerie Stam, Galerie de Studio, the Amsterdam Tarot Show, and various collaborative exhibitions throughout Amsterdam, with recent and upcoming presentations scheduled for 2025.
