About Pranoy Suresh
Rotterdam, Netherlands
Pranoy Suresh is a self-taught oil, acrylic, and graphite artist based between Bengaluru, India and Rotterdam, the Netherlands. His earliest recognition came at age 5, when one of his paintings was published in a children's weekly newspaper — a moment that set his lifelong relationship with painting in motion.
Without any formal art school training, Pranoy built his technique over the years by studying the methods of the old masters and teaching himself through YouTube, gradually developing a style informed equally by classical technique and independent experimentation. A visit to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, where he spent hours before the works of Rembrandt, his favorite artist, deepened his fascination with chiaroscuro and the interplay of light and shadow
Pranoy holds a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani and an MBA from the Indian School of Business, and works as a technology strategy consultant, a analytical, structured world that he sees as a quiet counterpart to the intuitive, exploratory nature of painting. His work has been shared with a growing audience on Instagram (@evocative_hues), with select pieces sold to private collectors.
