Pascale Taurua

Pascale Taurua was born in New Caledonia in 1960 to a Polynesian father and a Caledonian mother. She grew up on both islands in the Pacific Ocean.

She studied the work of Gauguin at the Conservatory of Arts in Papeete, Tahiti, where she held her first exhibition. In 1986, she won the art competition organized by The Rotary Club in Noumea, and in 2008 she won the competition in Pau, France.
