Painter's autobiography

I am 67 years old. I live in Tápióság with my husband. I have two sons and a little granddaughter. I retired this year, but I continue to work as a librarian at the local library. I started painting 10 years ago, without any prior training. I know it sounds banal, but I saw a sunrise and it inspired me! I just started! I have always been interested in art, particularly painting. I visited museums and galleries and read about the lives of painters, but I never thought I would paint one day! ☺

I was interested in oil painting, so I started with that. I consider myself a landscape painter, I love nature, but still, still life and abstract works can also be found among my creations.

Every painting is associated with some memory, reading, or theme that occupies my mind. Many people know my work, they say: I am a bit present in each of my paintings...! I dare to hope that this is true!

I seize every opportunity to show my paintings. I participate in competitions announced for painters, so my paintings have been exhibited in many places. My first success was 6 years ago at the competition held at the Táncsics Mihály Cultural House in Soroksár, where I came in 2nd place, resulting in a joint exhibition. My second success is The Talent, announced annually by Bakelit Studio, which is also a competition for amateur painters and artists. Since then, I have always been present here with one or two paintings.

It is important to mention my participation in the Kőbánya Art Fest exhibition, as well as the exhibition at the Capital Cultural House, where I was able to be present with one painting each. The list is not complete!

My residence: Tápióság is also discovered, I can exhibit at every local event, and I even have a permanent exhibition at my workplace, the local library. I paint my pictures on canvas with oil and mostly with a palette knife!
