About Michael Vincent Manalo
Michael Vincent Manalo is a digital painter and photo-manipulator. His work draws on imagined memories of nostalgic and dream-like environments, documenting their decline into post-apocalyptic and nightmarish creations.
Manalo has created digital artworks for books, album covers, and magazine covers with several bands and publishing companies from various countries. His work has been exhibited in Australia, England, Germany, Georgia, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, the Philippines, Poland, Serbia, South Korea, Taiwan, the UK, and the USA.
His awards include first prize in the Digital Art Category at the Art Museum of Chianciano Terme in Italy in 2010, Best Photography Illustration at The Redmond Digital Arts Festival in Washington in 2011, and second place in the Secret Art Prize at the Curious Duke Gallery in London in 2015. In 2014, he was nominated for the APBF Signature Art Prize from the Singapore Art Museum and named one of Asia's Top Ten Most Inspiring Visual Artists by Top 10 Publications in Malaysia.
