Mariam Sasha

Mariam Sasha has been drawing for about three years. She describes drawing as a game in which each picture carries its own emotion. The process of creating work, for her, resembles downloading a new puzzle that she arranges while drawing, an experience she finds deeply enjoyable.

Her work reflects an inner mood and often draws from dreams. She is interested in the visual depiction of spiritual experiences and in finding shape for them. Rather than addressing a specific creative audience, she sees her work as opening a door through which to explore territories that cannot be reached in any other way.
