Maria Inês Rodrigues

Inês Rodrigues was born in 2001, in Lisbon. She studied Drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon; works as a sculptor in a two-hundred-year-old goldsmith’s workshop, and develops her artistic path through charcoal—its elasticity and controlled unpredictability.

In a composition where the stain joins the line—which does not delimit but rather suggests one or more interpretations—in a dubious chiaroscuro; a state of constant turbulence that emerges as coexistence, much like the nature we inhabit.
