Margreet Blaas

Margreet Blaas is a self-taught artist from Bussum who has developed her practice through various training courses and frequent museum visits. She works from unconscious and conscious memory alongside her imagination, allowing paintings to emerge as purely as possible.

Her subjects often depict a magical realist dream world where figures flow together with their surroundings. Working intuitively, she builds paintings in layers of tone and color, exploring a subjective and emotional approach to reality where experience takes precedence over what is tangible.

Most of her work is held in the Nimis Gallery in Bussum, Netherlands.
