Jochen Cerny

Jochen Cerny was born in Düsseldorf, Germany. His grandmother was a photographer known for her detailed black and white work, and his father worked as a marketing consultant alongside prominent industry photographers. After completing his academic studies, Cerny initially pursued professional photography but instead chose a career as an international investment banker.

In recent years, Cerny returned to photography after reconnecting with childhood friend Andreas Gursky, one of the world's most renowned photographers. He has since developed what he calls the CMPB-technique, a self-developed method that combines various post-production techniques to digitally enhance colors while preserving the integrity of the original subject. His recent work has expanded into digital photo painting.

His photographs have received recognition through multiple awards in competitions including the Trierenberg Circuit, Monochrome Awards, Fotoforum Magazine, and Viewbug. His work has been exhibited in Germany, London, and Hong Kong, and is held in collections with international art collectors and photography enthusiasts.
