Jaehun Park

Jaehun Park is a digital sculptor, animator, and simulator who uses three-dimensional computer graphic animation to visualize imagined realities in virtual space. Before moving to the Netherlands, he lived in Seoul, a city that has undergone rapid development over the past thirty years. This experience in a highly saturated capitalist environment shaped his artistic focus on the psychological and material dimensions of consumer culture.

His work examines ordinary objects and spaces through the lens of post-capitalism and consumerism. He draws particular inspiration from construction elements, commercial signboards, mass-produced goods found in shopping malls, and sanitary spaces like showers. Through his animations, he reflects on how these everyday subjects relate to the ritualistic structures of contemporary consumer society.
