Ingo Robin

Ingo Robin is a photographer based in Munich who has worked professionally since the early 1990s. He began his career shooting advertising campaigns for brands including Nike, Adidas, and Hugo Boss, and later contributed fashion photography and celebrity portraits to magazines such as Max, Vogue, SZ Magazin, and Stern.

In his personal work, Robin orchestrates compositions combining people and landscape. His subjects range from fashion and advertising figures to circus performers including trapeze artists and acrobats from the Weisheit family, as well as stilt walkers and clowns. He pursues specific moments and scenes across varied locations, from Norwegian fjords to the Devil's Wall in the German Central Uplands to the North Sea, often executing complex productions that require extensive preparation and travel.

His photographs engage with themes drawn from history, mythology, and popular culture. His work includes interpretations of band imagery, portraits, and series such as The Masks, exploring different approaches through colour, portraiture, and conceptual provocation.
