Ferdi wouters, Atelier Fersier

In 1947, I was born in Amsterdam as the son of the goldsmith AB WOUTERS and his wife AAFJE VANDER VEEN. After the necessary preliminary education, I initially worked for nearly 20 years in primary and secondary education. Eventually, I made the transition to artistry and took over from my father in 1990, obtaining my master's degree in gold and silver smithing in 1995. Since then, I have been working as such in Dordrecht, and my work has found its way to companies and individuals both domestically and internationally.

My sculptures can be found in the collection of Astra Zeneca and Bristol-Meyers Squibb, among others. A façade relief can also be found in Dordrecht. Many exhibitions followed over time, including: Sculpture Garden De Hooge Heesch in Eersel, Sculpture Garden Wognum, Garden on the Amstel, and the biennial event Zomersymfonie in Dordrecht in Merwestein park, which originated from the Hofmakerij manifestation in Het Hof, also in Dordrecht, of which I was one of the founders.
