Don Andeweg

Don Andeweg is from Wassenaar in the Netherlands. He has exhibited in various small exhibitions in The Hague, including at the Hilton. Self-taught, he began by drawing realistic nature studies and portraits early on.

His work has evolved into figurative and abstract compositions created with acrylic paint and gold leaf on large canvases. He stretches quality linen on wooden and aluminum frames, working at a substantial scale of approximately 140 by 140 centimeters with a depth of 4.5 centimeters.

After a period away from active production, Andeweg returned to designing and painting over the past two years, developing a series of new works.
