Chung-Hsi Han

Chung-Hsi Han studied civil engineering at Delft University of Technology and worked as a suspension bridge builder in Nepal from 1986 to 1991. During those years, walking between construction sites in the Himalayas shaped his decision to pursue art rather than engineering. He studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague from 1993 to 1997.

Han works primarily on paper, though he continues to paint on canvas as well. His focus on paper-based work intensified from 2006 onward. In 2003 he received a basic scholarship from FVBK in recognition of his work.
