Annette van Soest was born in The Hague in 1976 and is a self-taught photographer. Her work captures moments of silence within busy city life, exploring the relationship between people and their surroundings. All of her images are unposed, and she works across both traditional street photography and the space between street photography and abstract and graphic arts.
Her photographs have been exhibited in London, Delft, and The Hague. In 2018, GUP Magazine selected her work for the exhibition "New Dutch Photography Talent 2019," and she was chosen as a finalist in the SPi Street Awards 2018.
