His work focuses on cityscapes, industrial sites, ports, and the periphery of cities. He draws inspiration from broken, wasted, and out-of-use objects and places. He works on location, drawing and painting the Dutch landscape as it has transformed over the past century, and also works in Spain, where he explores vast landscapes marked by minimal human activity. His practice encompasses linocut prints, charcoal drawings, and oil painting.
