Impressionism in a converted railway station, under a clock face you can look out through.
The building was built for the 1900 World's Fair and saved from demolition in the 1970s; the collection picks up exactly where the Louvre stops. Monet, Degas, Renoir, Cézanne and Van Gogh hang in daylight that suits them better than any purpose-built gallery.
