Nigel Abbey's Celestial Visions
Nigel Abbey grew up between London, Surrey, and Scotland, studying drawing and painting at Glasgow School of Art before earning a First Class Honours degree in Art and Graphic Design from Hornsey College of Art in London. His work maps the stars—creating celestial charts where constellations emerge from connected points and lines, each piece anchored to a song title that speaks to generations of listeners. Abbey's minimalist approach to these night-sky visualizations brings together his formal training in both fine art and graphic design, turning familiar melodies into abstract explorations of light, pattern, and connection. Working from Thames Ditton in Surrey, he continues to channel the warmth and creativity that has shaped his artistic journey across three decades.
