Gerald Schepers: Feeling Through Color

٨ أغسطس ٢٠٢٦

Gerald Schepers, based in Arnhem, calls himself a feeling artist—someone who trusts intuition over planning. Nature is his constant companion and inspiration, whether he's out walking the landscape or working in his studio. His paintings blend abstraction with hints of the natural world, often layered with symbolism and spiritual meaning. Working mainly in oil on canvas and heavy paper, sometimes adding cold wax and oil pastels, Schepers builds atmospheric scenes where color and gesture become a conversation between emotion and form. Water, horizons, and expansive skies emerge through his intuitive process, creating work that feels both grounded in place and deeply introspective.
