Does a nightmare always end with an awakening and the return of a sense of time and space? What if this nightmare is real? You open your eyes, but it does not disappear. It exists around you as well as within you. It is possible to close your eyes tightly, but fear grows stronger. You see it; you touch it; you feel it with all your guts. All around you is a chilling emptiness that forces your breath and blood to run in opposite directions. Just a moment in time, but it feels like eternity. Past, present and future collide. This is what infinity looks like. And you are stuck in space and you can neither move nor breathe. Someday it will end, but you don’t know when. Waiting can stretch like an endless rusty fishing line, slashing the soul with wounds that cannot be healed.
