埃尔玛·霍斯特-贝尔肯博斯（1968）从小就喜欢画画。在高中时，她的笔记本边缘满是画作。当她在30岁左右有了孩子时，她想为他们的卧室创造一些美丽的东西，却找不到，于是开始创作儿童画。作为自学成才的艺术家，自那时以来她每周都愉快地画画，总是寻找新的风格和表达形式。
多年来，她的重点一直是绘制日常物品。关于她对此的热情，她说：“我热爱宁静、安静、美。阳光在玻璃花瓶中玩耍的样子。蔬菜和水果中的颜色和结构。风中摇曳的花朵。我真的能对此感到惊奇。我画那种宁静！”
埃尔玛是Krimpener Kunstwaard的成员。
