Grouping works into a series

Bundle related works so your portfolio reads as a body of work instead of a pile.

A series turns a pile of separate works into a body of work. Works in the same series are shown grouped together on your portfolio page, which is what a visitor coming to your page for the first time needs in order to see what you are about.

Putting a work in a series

  1. Open the work from My artworks.
  2. Find the Series field.
  3. Pick an existing series, or click + New and type a name — *Nocturnes*, *Harbour drawings*, whatever you call it yourself.
  4. Click Add, then Save changes.

Repeat for each work that belongs to it. A series appears on your page as soon as there is something in it.

What makes a good series

Something a viewer can see. A shared subject, a shared material, a period you worked through. A series called *Paintings* tells nobody anything; a series called *Winter at the allotment* makes someone want to look at all six.

Leave a work out of every series if it stands on its own — — none — is a perfectly good answer.
