III. Hera observing the judgement of Paris.

Created somewhere between 1595 - 1612, now colorized by S.R.Post after pain staking hours and weeks of work. Hera walks along a tree with her brightly colored peacock. In the distance a small settlement that disappears into the forest. Her peacock shows the corresponding colors green and blue, along with her red cloak. With her light brown hair and white gold veil her attributed colors are made visible. Images of the planet Venus have also been used to create her skin color. The Latin words describe a promise to Paris. Made and printed by Michiel Jansz van Mierevelt and Willem Isaacz. of Swanenburg between 1595 and 1612. Coloured, edited and reprinted in 2021 by Stephan Raymond Post and scaled up to 100 × 170cm. The original is 14.3 × 24.7cm. Now the goddess can be enjoyed life-size.
