Calle 54

The collage is a portrait of a beautiful city tree, standing proudly in Calle 54 in the centre of Merida, Yucatán, Mexico. In the collage, the tree has been freed from it’s harsh urban surroundings consisting of pavement, asphalt and smog. Instead it has been transplanted to an imaginery landscape. 

The original artwork is a mixed media collage, 28 x 33 cm, collage of aerial photographies of existing landscapes around the world with oil paint on paper. The original is travelling to Turin, Italy next month where it will be part of the 5th edition of the International Artes Exhibition at art gallery Febo e Dafne in October '22. Beautiful fine art prints of the collage are available in limited editions.
