This painting shows the skyline of Amsterdam as seen from the Three Star Hilton Rooftop Bar in Amsterdam. The painting includes the Prins Hendrikkade, the Schreierstoren and the Basilica of Saint Nicholas. Bert lived in Amsterdam during the first year of his medical studies (Sept 1967 - June 1968) until he had to do military service.
