Payment links: get paid without a webshop
You do not need a shopping cart, a merchant account or a developer. One link per artwork is enough.
What a payment link actually is
A payment link is a web address that opens a checkout page with your amount already filled in. The buyer pays by card, iDEAL or PayPal, and the money lands in your account. No cart, no account, no waiting.
On Online Gallery you paste that link into an artwork and a Buy button appears. We are never in the payment flow, which is why our commission is genuinely zero.
Three ways to get one
In Europe, a free Mollie account gives you unlimited payment links with iDEAL, cards and PayPal, and you only pay per transaction. In the US and beyond, Stripe payment links work the same way.
No company registration? A personal PayPal.me link works too. Or simply add your PayPal e-mail address to your profile: we generate a proper Buy Now link for every artwork automatically, with amount and title already filled in.
Are payment links valid forever?
With Mollie and Stripe a link stays valid until you delete it, so it can live on your artwork page for years. Some providers expire links after a set period — check yours before you rely on it.
When a work sells, set it to sold or hidden. Nothing damages trust faster than a buyer paying for a painting that is already gone.
What happens after the payment
You receive a notification, you e-mail the buyer within a day, you agree on delivery, and you ship insured with track and trace. That short, warm e-mail is where a customer turns into a collector.
Send an invoice even if you are not required to. It looks professional and buyers of art often want one for their records.
In het kort
One link per artwork with the exact amount, a provider that keeps links valid, immediate confirmation to the buyer, and the work marked as sold the same day.
