Museum Island
Five museums on one island in the Spree, together a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Neues Museum holds the bust of Nefertiti; the Alte Nationalgalerie nineteenth-century painting; the Pergamonmuseum monumental architecture from the ancient world. Parts of the island are under long-term renovation, so check what is open before travelling.
