Elma Hoste: Beauty in Everyday Things
Elma Hoste has been drawing since childhood, filling notebook margins with sketches. When she wanted something beautiful for her children's rooms in her thirties, she began painting, and never stopped. Working entirely self-taught, she paints weekly with genuine joy, constantly exploring new styles and ways of seeing. For years now, her focus has been everyday objects—a glass vase catching sunlight, the colors hidden in vegetables and fruits, flowers moving in the breeze. These simple subjects become her meditation, a way of really looking at the world around her and celebrating the quiet beauty that's always there.
