This portrait fits into my collection of GOOD PEOPLE, which has been exhibited in my home area. These are individuals whom I admire greatly for their dedication to justice, and bettering their community or society. Joseph Standing Bear Schranz was born in Chicago of an Ojibwe mother and German Father. He studied many summers in the north to learn of his Ojibwe roots and ways. But in the urban area of Chicago he dedicated his life to bringing the voice of the Native Americans to the European population which created the United State.
