Filtered light

Almost every morning I take a walk in the woods, and one day I decided not only to look at where I was going to place my feet to avoid tripping over a tree root or a hole in the forest path, no, I looked up and suddenly saw the world from a different perspective. How surprising! How inspiring! Immediately a working title was born; look up. Look up along tree trunks and see the canopy and through it the sky and the light that pours down between the leaves and touches you. I was touched and had to translate this into a painting. One painting was not enough for me, and thus a series was born that I am still working on to this day. There are so many ways to express what I see when I look up. I love to share that with you!
