The Madonna of Silence – A monumental icon in textile art I present to you my latest work, an installation that combines the solemnity of sacred iconography with the modernity of Tapestry Crochet technique. Technical Details: Dimensions: 160 cm (height) x 60 cm (width). Weight: 3.0 kg (a solid and material presence). Technique: Artistic crochet with reclaimed threads, fully lined with fabric for perfect stability over time. Selected Materials: For this work, no wool was used, preferring technical and fine yarns that ensure durability and brilliance: Cotton Cord: For a sculptural structure that does not deform. Viscose: Used in the color transitions of the face to give a silky and soft sheen. Metallic Polyester: For the gold and silver details, chosen to maintain an intense and unchanging light over the years. The height of 1.6 meters and the complexity of the weave make this piece a unique work, capable of transforming the light of the environment in which it is displayed. The work is ready to be hung.
