Yes, they are simple, sturdy, leather boots. Everyone had something like that. A symbol of reliability and brute strength. Nothing happens to it and nothing will happen in your lifetime. It doesn't burn in fire or sink in water. I think these boots can withstand even a direct hit from a nuclear bomb. And of course the story, as always, is everyone's own. The associations are also individual. These boots are as charismatic as a super car. That's what Pop Art is all about. And rightly so.
