As most of the time, this artwork is a combination of painting, photography and digital post processing. With a photo on dibond, a real photo print is glued to a dibond plate. The photo is not printed directly on the material (as with a direct print), but first exposed on the best photographic paper (Fujifilm Digital Professional DP II photographic paper). Museum quality. Artwork comes with an international certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist. Other sizes on request. Complete with aluminum hanging system. Gathering inspiration from personal philosophical research, Lemmers seeks to integrate the absurdity of the irrational world with a synthesis of different cultures. Creating artwork is, for him, a process of constructing imagery that metaphorically represents his thoughts and ideas in a strong and arresting manner. Fantasy, drama, psychology, and mysticism are central to his imagery. Describing that which he shows us, the artist writes that, “his works show us more often this unknown, weird world in theatrical situations we never see in our ‘real’ life. [They] are sort of a visual analysis of his thoughts about another and (maybe) better world.” In May 2017, Geert won the ArtPrize Francisco Goya during the art biennale in Barcelona and in December 2017 he was elected as “ART MASTER " OF ACCADEMIA ITALIA IN ARTE NEL MONDO ASSOCIAZIONE CULTURALE, in Lecce It.
