About Els Crum
Nijmegen, Netherlands
Els Crum was born in 1957 in Heelsum in the Netherlands. She studied art in Utrecht and Zurich, later working in Heidelberg before settling in Nijmegen in 1997.
Her practice spans drawing, printmaking, acrylic, oil, encaustic, and tempera alla prima. Her work explores themes of sensuality, eroticism, religion, and poetry, often combined with landscape. Since 2016, she has also created murals and landscape works.
