Abran Keranen

Abran Keranen is an American artist born in Hancock, Michigan. He studied at the Perpich Center for Arts Education, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the School of Representational Art.

Keranen works primarily in oil paint in the style of Classical Realism, creating portraits, still lifes, and landscapes. He also works in Abstract Expressionism under the pseudonym ABIDAS. His practice spans a range of materials and substrates including graphite, charcoal, silverpoint, watercolors, oil paint on wood panel, aluminum panel, copper panel, paper, linen, and slate.
