About the work

This photograph is a part of my «Escape» series which were taken around my home environment during first quarantine months – March-June 2020. Sometimes in the evening my son and I would go for a walk in the forest or to places where we could not meet a single person, and this is one of those places. Belvedere Palace in Peterhof (St.Petersburg area) was intended for the Tsar Nicholas family picnics. Photograph "Belvedere Palace" was created using monocle made by Russian master Vyacheslav Zitev. I wanted to emphasize the poetic nature of these places as opposed to the brutal coronavirus reality.
