My Favorite Pears

Do you love red pears like I do? I love their taste but also their shocking beauty! Here you see the brilliant skin and even the graceful shape of the profile. I bought the pears and drew them from the plate on my table. Then I painted them in watercolor, using the traditional method of layering thin glazes of paint.  The mat adds 2.5 inches to each side, with framed piece being 14 inches x 14 inches, with a narrow deep red edge around the painting.
