Hosta Varieties

In a nearby community there is a man who purposely collects hosta varieties. It was great fun to go with my art group to draw, photograph and paint in his wooded area of many hostas. Here the names of the four that I chose, appear in pencil beside the variety. They all have a similar leaf, yet the grooves in the leaves and the colors vary in such creative ways! This is a plant that excites me! I chose a soft green mat for this painting and thin gold tone frame. I can send you a picture of the completely framed painting if you request it. I believe the colored mat in this case helps to highlight the plants. Packing and shipping is included with the price shown here.
