County Fair

As I have explored painting with oil and cold wax, I have found various subjects. The lovely wooly sheep is in a pen at the county fair,  thus the name. I photographed him and painted from my photo. The painting gives a feeling of quiet which these animals convey, and the calm of resting in the straw. The part of fence conveys the boundaries of farmlands or the fair where animals are brought for display and competition. Oil and cold wax can be naturally textural, and here gives texture to the wool and straw. Packing and shipping is included in the price shown here.  #sheep   #farmanimals
