About the artist

I live and paint in my studio in Kenmare Co Kerry Ireland My art is abstract, but also impressionistic. It is inspired mostly by the landscape and seascape of Kerry and the west coast of Ireland. I paint only using oils and palette knives and this leaves me with a very textured canvas when I have finished a piece. There will be a three-dimensional effect to all my work because of the way I apply the paint with the knife. It makes my paintings more energetic and vibrant and helps them capture light and evoke movement.
