About the work
The matt moss-green sheet of the Lotus leaf is requested from the Budapest Botanic Garden with a special permit. The picture page is placed on the veined side of the leaf, the back of the picture shows the original leaf with signature. It was a great job to prepare this letter and position it in the printer, two man spent 90 minutes with only the positioning itself. Pictured is the entrance to a row of trees in Girona’s La Devesa Park, Spain, in the afternoon, winter sunshine. The size of the work is approx. 35x35 cm. It is framed between two glasses in white wood frame. Full size is 50x50 cm.

About the artist
Hajtmanszki’s art photography is facing Natural Art and represents a frontier between Natural Art and photography. He creates landscapes and prints them on natural leaves of plants and trees, creating unique ephemeral smart artworks that entrust his art vision to the care of the cycle of nature. His "abstract" graphic works are also based on his own photographic landscapes’ abstractions, which he develops on the ways of basis of organic geometric composition systems found in nature: using modified mirroring growth, Golden ratio, Penrose-tiling and fractal theory.
Zoltan Hajtmanszki (was born in 1962 Budapest) is an autodidact Hungarian photographer, artist, awarded with state award Balog Rudolf-prize in 2006, a member of the Association of Hungarian Photographers since 2007. Very first he debuted as a professional photographer for the University Theatre of Faculty of Liberal Arts of ELTE University Budapest, in 1985. Contemporary Collection of the Hungarian Museum of Theatre History invited him to document Hungarian alternative theatres’ work from the next year, until 1989. At the same period he works for MTI National Hungarian News Agency, and HT-Press News Agency. In 1992 he decided to be a freelance photo reporter and placing himself deeply in the subjects’ situations and with the insider’s eye he produced vast quantities of documentary pictures, such as thousands of pictures of refuges, homeless, and a series of pictures of people living on the ground floor of the capitol. His first book on refuges, titled “Honvágyók” (Longing for Homeland) was published in 1994 with the support of UNHCR. Street reportage was also always a majority of his oeuvre, he published his street pictures different collections in a few books, titled “Downtown Flaneur 1985-2003 ”, “Még Béke 2003-2010” (Peace Yet 2003-2010), “Elszakadás 2003-2007” (Tearing Away 2003-2007), and “Toi” (Paris 2004). His last important authentic documentary work, titled “Az Írástudó 1992-2009” (The Scribe 1992-2009) is an international street documentary on the world of readers. Since 2011, Hajtmanszki’s art is balancing on the boundary territories of photography and Natural Art.
